Alliance 4 Development selektiert 2 österreichische Projekte
Alliance For Development (A4D), Locarno Pro´s co-development program for projects in development from Austria, France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, has selected 11 projects for its upcoming 10ᵗʰ edition.
Running during Locarno Pro (from August 7 to 12), consists of a dedicated three day program for selected projects to enhance their co-production potential through curated one-on-one meetings, pitching sessions, networking events, lunches, workshops, and feedback sessions with industry guests.
The full selection of this year is:
- 3rd Eye of Shiva by Maria Kaur Bedi and Satindar Singh Bedi, produced by Esther van Messel (First Hand Films, Switzerland).
- Amor y Rebeldía (Love and Rebellion) by Sarah Miro Fischer produced by Titus Kreyenberg and Nina Sophie Bayer-Seel (Una Film, Germany).
- Chocolat amer (Dark Chocolate) by Valentin Merz, produced by Michela Pini (Cinédokké, Switzerland) and Marie Lanne-Chesnot (Andrea Film, Switzerland).
- Das Blühen einer Chimäre (The Flowering of a Chimera) by Simon Maria Kubiena, produced by Elli Leeb & Fabian Leonhardt (Chimera Film, Austria)
- How To Walk on Water (Cómo caminar sobre el agua) by Sofía Ayala, produced by Maritza Grass and Vincent Edusei (Carousel Film, Germany), and Mathilde Warisse (Wrong Films, France)
- Im Verborgenen (In the Hidden) by Goran Rebić, produced by Alexander Dumreicher-Ivanceanu and Bady Minck (Amour Fou Vienna and Amour Fou Luxembourg).
- Najma et Salomé (Najma and Salomé) by Anne Zinn-Justin, produced by Clémentine Mourão-Ferreira (so-cle, France).
- Neige (Snow) by Jenna Hasse, produced by Olivier Zobrist (Langfilm, Switzerland)
- Primo Viaggio by Alessandro Cassigoli and Casey Kauffman, produced by Nanni Moretti and Benedetta Barroero (Sacher Film, Italy)
- Solastalgia by Yosr Gasmi and Mauro Mazzocchi, produced by Ivan Casagrande Conti, Tommaso Santambrogio (Chiotto Film, Italy) and ismaël (Utopia Films, Tunisia)
- The Dress behind the wall by Orkhan Aghazadeh, produced by Jules Grange (KIDAM, France)Alliance 4 Development is possible thanks to partnerships with CNC (Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée), France; FFA (Filmförderungsanstalt), Germany; DGCA-MiC (Direzione Generale Cinema e Audiovisivo del Ministero della Cultura), Italy; ÖFI (Österreichisches Filminstitut), Austria; the Federal Office of Culture (FOC) / MEDIA Desk Suisse, Switzerland. A4D is also made possible by contributions from Eurimages, which promotes and sponsors one of the initiative’s networking events.A4D will conclude with an award ceremony, where participants have the opportunity to win several awards to further support the development of their projects: the Alphapanda Market Breakout Award, consisting in consultancy services in the value of 3,500 EUR; a script consultancy residency at DreamAgo, offered by the Valais Film Commission, worth 5,000 CHF; the MIDPOINT Consulting Award for an in-depth online script consultancy with one of the MIDPOINT Institute experts; the Ticino Film Commission Residence Award, which consists of a two-day location scout (worth 4,000 CHF) and Letter of Intent (LOI) for financial support for the production company (worth up to 12,000 CHF), if all or part of the film will be shot in Ticino, the Masé Studio Award worth 3,000 CHF in cash, and the Masé Studio Post-production Award worth 25,000 CHF in post-production services.
