ProPro meets Talent LAB — Public Expert Talk: Katherine Dennis Gonzalez

Katherine Dennis Gonzalez is an expert in the 2025 ProPro-Producers Programme for Women, an initiative of the Austrian Film Institute to strengthen women producers, organised by the International Screen Institute, and the curriculum of the Talent LAB of the Austrian Film Institute. In the course of her workshops she will give an open lecture.

The Human Element: Mental Health, Sustainability, and the Nervous System in Creative Work

This talk introduces the role of the nervous system in how we lead, collaborate, and create — especially under pressure. Drawing from psychology and neuroscience, we’ll explore how stress, burnout, and disconnection often emerge not from personal failure, but from how our systems respond to ongoing demand. Participants will walk away with a better understanding of how internal regulation supports external sustainability — offering insight into leadership, team dynamics, and the emotional landscape of long-term creative work.

Katherine Dennis Gonzalez is a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist specializing in stress, regulation, and relational wellbeing. Originally from Colombia and based in Berlin, she co-founded Expanding Circles, a practice offering science-based, body-aware education for individuals and teams navigating stress and leadership. Her work integrates trauma-informed psychology, systems thinking, and nervous system education to support more sustainable ways of working, creating, and relating.
