Gesucht: emerging FLINTA* DOP für Masterclass mit Asghar Farhadi in Bologna

ÖFI – Talents & Training kooperiert zum ersten Mal mit der IFA – International Filmmaking Academy in Bologna. Bei der 12. Edition der IFA Masterclass in Filmmaking kommen zwischen 25. Juni und 7. Juli 2025 30 Filmtalente (10 Regisseur*innen, 10 Regie-Assistent*innen und 10 DOPs) aus aller Welt zusammen, um unter der Betreuung des zweifachen iranischen Oscar-Preisträgers Asghar Farhadi (A Seperation (2011), The Salesman (2016)) Kurzfilme zu realisieren. Die IFA Masterclass findet im Rahmen des Il Cinema Ritrovato Film Festival statt.Durch die Kooperation kann eine emerging FLINTA* Kameraperson aus Österreich mit abgeschlossener Ausbildung oder entsprechender qualifizierender Erfahrung (mehrere Kurzspielfilme oder maximal einen Langspielfilm) an der Masterclass teilnehmen! Das ÖFI übernimmt die Teilnahmegebühr, die Nächtigungen und eine Akkreditierung für das Il Cinema Ritrovato Film Festival inkludiert. Reise- und Verpflegungskosten müssen eigenständig aufgebracht werden. Achtung: DOPs müssen ihre eigene Kamera mitbringen!

Wanted: emerging FLINTA* DOP for masterclass with Asghar Farhadi in Bologna

Call deadline April 27

 

ÖFI – Talents & Training is cooperating with the IFA – International Filmmaking Academy in Bologna for the first time. At the 12th edition of the IFA Masterclass in Filmmaking between June 25 and July 7, 2025, 30 film talents (10 directors, 10 assistant directors and 10 DOPs) from all over the world will come together to realize short films under the supervision of two-time Iranian Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi (A Seperation (2011), The Salesman (2016)). The IFA Masterclass will take place during the Il Cinema Ritrovato Film Festival.

 

Thanks to this cooperation, an emerging FLINTA* cinematographer from Austria who has completed their education or has relevant qualifying experience (several short films or a maximum of one feature-length fiction film) can take part in the masterclass! ÖFI will cover the participation fee, which includes accommodation and accreditation for the Il Cinema Ritrovato Film Festival. Travel and catering costs must be covered by the participants themselves. Attention: DOPs must bring their own camera!

The decision on participation will be made at the end of April in consultation with the organizers of the IFA Masterclass.
