We are excited to announce that applications for the 17th APostLab Annual Post-Production Workshop that will take place in Vienna for the first time in November are now open! Deadline for applications: September 6, 2026

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The Annual Post-Production Workshop is an intensive project-based program, equipping producers and post-production supervisors with a deep, hands-on understanding of the technical, financial, and creative aspects of post-production in a European, international co-production context.

The 17th edition (November 13-17, 2026 in Vienna) presents a 5-day residential, 2-day online program, packed with plenary sessions, group work, and individual training. During the workshop, producers team up with post-production supervisors to design a tailored post-production workflow, schedule, and budget for the producer’s project.

Participants are split into two groups, each guided by a seasoned producer and post-production supervisor. In this edition, the groups are led by experienced producers Roshanak Behesht Nedjad (Germany) and Antoine Simkine (France), as well as post-production supervisors Niko Remus (Germany) and Neeltje van der Heijden (The Netherlands).

WHO CAN APPLY?

Producers with an internationally (co-)produced feature film or series, including documentaries, at the stage of development, financing, or pre-production;

Post-production supervisors working independently or in-house in a film production company or post-production facility.

The workshop will select 24 participants, with a maximum of 10 producers with projects.

Participants from Austria will receive scholarships supported by the Austrian partners. The exact number of these scholarships will be determined during the selection process.
