Suddenly there is a real prospect of peace in the Middle East?! They won’t need the blue helmets of the United Nations anymore? This new situation is unsettling for everybody – and for most of them downright unwelcome!
It is at this point that we encounter Werner Baumschlager, the likeable, good-natured, blundering Austrian UN officer who inadvertently becomes the plaything of various interests. Due to his curious activities on both sides of the border he quickly comes to be regarded by everybody involved as a dangerous spy.
