"Whom will we tell this to?" was one of the essential questions for the inmates of Mauthausen right after liberation im May 1945. With our documentary we want to put this question at the centre of attention. We want to know how the inmates experienced their liberation. How were the former prisoners able to make their way back into "normal" lives? We want to learn it from them, but also from their families, friends. How did they perceive the world they came back to? Were they eventually able to talk about the horror the had faced? Was their faith in humanity ever restored? Or not?
