Life Size Memories

Two former photojournalists take a large-format camera to Southeastern Asia to shoot portraits of elephants living in captivity and record their biographies. The travel to four different countries on a journey to find out how different cultures influences the fates of their animals. The lives of elephants reflect our own. Life-size photographs make memories tangible and make the individual animal behind the collective face of an entire species visible.
