Concert pianist Lucy (Léa Seydoux) moves to the countryside with her husband Philip (Laurence Rupp) and their son, where the filmmaker is slowly recovering from burnout. One day, the police show up at their door to search the house. The serious accusation that Special Investigator Elsa (Jella Haase) levels against Philip turns Lucy’s world upside down.
