The responsibilities of the Board include, among other things, determining the Funding Guidelines and bylaws, approving the annual budget, and evaluating the achievement of the Institute’s funding objectives.

The Supervisory Board consists of representatives of the Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport; the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism; the Federal Ministry of Finance; and the Austrian Financial Procurator’s Office (Finanzprokuratur). It also includes representatives of the Austrian Trade Union Federation and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, as well as five experts from the Austrian film industry representing the fields of production, directing, screenwriting, and distribution.
